Renewal of the FRQS centre grant: an OUTSTANDING score for the CRCHUM
The CHUM research management team is very proud to announce that the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé has given an overall score of 95/100 to the CHUM Research Centre (CRCHUM) following the visit of the evaluation committee in February. This score places the CRCHUM in the “outstanding” category and confirms its position as a major health science research centre in Canada.
In its evaluation report, the committee noted, in particular, that “the CRCHUM is an outstanding biomedical research institution/clinic that is a rightful source of pride for its members, the Université de Montréal, the Province of Quebec and all of Canada. The Centre conducts world-class research and provides a dynamic environment for the training of future researchers who will, in turn, make their own mark in the research field.”
According to Vincent Poitout, Scientific Director for the CRCHUM and Director of Research for the CHUM, our research centre met with such success in this highly competitive evaluation process due to the sustained efforts of everyone involved.
“I would like to heartily congratulate and thank all the research teams, staff members, students and research fellows, and more broadly, all those who, through their commitment, hard work and creativity, allow our centre to shine on the international stage and directly improve the health of our fellow citizens.”
