Marie Gasser

On June 11, Marie Gasser, a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Guy Rutter (Cardiometabolic Research Theme), was appointed to the position of postdoctoral fellows representative within the scientific committee of the CHUM Research Centre (CRCHUM).

As a representative of CRCHUM postdoctoral fellows, Marie Gasser will sit on the scientific committee once a month alongside Kevin L’Espérance, a PhD student in the Health Innovation Hub Research Theme (laboratories of Anita Koushik, research director, and Jennifer O’Loughlin, co-director) who has been representing students since October 2022.

Together, they will contribute to developing the CRCHUM by supporting students and postdoctoral fellows in developing and implementing various social, academic and scientific activities at the research centre.

“I am delighted to have been elected to represent CRCHUM postdoctoral fellows. I look forward to contributing to the evolution of our large student community by providing all the necessary help and support, and new ideas and projects, while valuing the place of women in our community and in science.” —Marie Gasser

Marie Gasser is replacing Sabri Ahmed Rial (Cardiometabolic Research Theme, Gareth Lim’s laboratory). The postdoctoral fellow had held the position since March 2021.
