Our research activities focus on developing lung ultrasonography as a tool to study respiratory physiology, its alteration by mechanical ventilation and the personalization of mechanical ventilator settings. More specifically, our ongoing research projects aim to further knowledge on the following questions: 

• Study of volutrauma induced by mechanical ventilation measured by lung elastography 
• Study of perioperative mechanical ventilation strategies to decrease postoperative pulmonary complications
• Ventilator-associated pneumonia diagnosis
