Research Interests

  1. Designing a multi modular approach to characterize multiple sclerosis brain pathology in rapid autopsy brain tissue.
  2. The role of MCAM in regulatory T cell migration and function in multiple sclerosis.
  3. The role of IL-37 in blood brain barrier regulation.
  4. Effect of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines on human blood brain and blood meningeal barrier function.
  5. Using machine learning to identify which combination of immunological and clinical parameters is the best predictor of multiple sclerosis disease progression.
  6. Lead of the Prat lab multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis brain bank and autopsy programme.
