CHUM scleroderma clinic

The CHUM Scleroderma Clinic directed by Dr. Sabrina Hoa is looking for a research associate in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics.

Dr. Hoa is leading several clinical and epidemiological studies on systemic sclerosis, focusing on the identification of clinical, biological and radiological predictors of progression, as well as on the study of interventions to prevent and treat scleroderma complications. Her research program aims to reduce morbidity and mortality linked to complications of scleroderma (including pulmonary, cardiac, cutaneous, digestive and neoplastic disease) through an innovative, early and targeted approach.


Job description

The specific role of the candidate will be to assist the researcher in planning and carrying out clinical and epidemiological research projects.


Responsibilities

This person will be responsible for:

  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Assist in the writing of research protocols
  • Perform analyses, interpret the results, and collaborate on scientific manuscripts
  • Assist in research synthesis and knowledge transfer activities
  • Supervise research students
  • Assist in writing grant applications
Qualifications
  • A doctorate's degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, clinical sciences or a related field with expertise in clinical/epidemiological research
  • Proficiency in R or other statistical analysis program
  • Proficiency in written scientific English language
