Research contracts office (RCO) – CRCHUM

Responsible for negotiating more than 800 research contracts per year, the Research Contracts Office greatly enhances the reputation of research at the CRCHUM. It serves as a buffer to protect the interests of the establishment, as well as researchers and their research teams, while helping them comply with laws and regulations.  

The CRCHUM’s Research Contracts Office drafts, revises and negotiates all agreements related to a research project (clinical, basic, population health or other) that must be signed with a third party (private company or organization).  

The Research Contracts Office ensures the compliance of research agreements with laws, regulations and ministerial orders in effect, with the requirements of funding agencies, with the provisions stipulated in the affiliation agreement between the CHUM and Université de Montréal, and with applicable institutional regulations, policies and procedures.
