The scientific director of the Montreal Cancer Institute and a regular researcher at the CHUM Research Centre, Anne-Marie Mes-Masson is one of the new fellows of the Royal Society of Canada. A pioneer in the field of using human biological material to study ovarian cancer, Mes-Masson has contributed to developing biobank standards, including the ethical aspects.
Mes-Masson, who directs several oncology research programs, has conducted research that has enhanced our knowledge in the field of ovarian cancer and has made discoveries that have contributed to the development of new clinical tools to diagnose, manage and treat this deadly disease. Being elected to the Royal Society of Canada is the greatest honour that can be granted to an academic working in the field of the arts, humanities and sciences.
