
As part of the Canada Research Chairs 2024 competition, Sarah Kimmins, a researcher in the Immunopathology research theme, has been awarded a Canada Research Chair in Epigenetic inheritance of Disease (Tier 1) by the Government of Canada.
Sarah Kimmins is one of 16 Canada Research Chairs, including 8 new ones, awarded to Université de Montréal.
Funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, these chairs recognize research excellence in Canadian universities.
Tier 1 Chairs, renewable once only after seven years, are held by outstanding researchers recognized by their peers as world leaders in their field. For each Tier 1 Chair, the institution receives $200,000 per year for seven years.
