The management team of Université de Montréal's affiliated hospital research centre, the CRCHUM, is proud to bestow the Bâtisseur Award to Dr. Hélène Héon.
Dr. Hélène Héon, D.M.V., M. Sc., a leading figure in laboratory animal medicine in Quebec and Canada, retired from the CRCHUM on September 1, 2023. She is the former head of the animal facility's scientific and veterinary services, which she led with dedication for 29 years, and leaves us her precious legacy.
Her contribution to the development of the CRCHUM's program of animal care and use in science has made it one of the most recognized in Canada.
Dr. Héon has devoted countless hours to developing innovative projects for researchers, in addition to actively contributing to the development of the CRCHUM's facilities and operations.
