Job
Manager Tissue and Cell Biobank, CHUM/CRCHUM (Director: Emmanuelle Brochiero)
Other Affiliation
Department of Medicine Université de Montréal
Research Interests
The research program established in our laboratory, directed by Emmanuelle Brochiero, focuses on pulmonary pathologies such as cystic fibrosis (CF), acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and primary graft dysfunction (PGD) after lung transplantation.
The aims of our research are
- to gain a better understanding of the role of ion channels (CFTR, ENaC and potassium channels) in lung physiology and airway & alveolar homeostasis and
- to identify novel therapeutic strategies to promote lung functional integrity in patients with these diseases.
To achieve our goals, we use cutting-edge technologies (available in our laboratory and at the CRCHUM facilities), established animal models and rare human samples available in our biobank of respiratory Tissues and primary Cells at CHUM/CRCHUM (directed by Emmanuelle Brochiero).
