Research Interests
My research focuses on the immunological mechanisms underlying inflammatory bowel diseases. I study the role of innate immune cells, including mononuclear phagocytes, in the initiation and perpetuation of inflammation in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. I am also interested in the contribution of innate immune cells to the fibrosis process in Crohn's disease.
