Dr. Antoine Boivin Receives the Donald I. Rice Award

A principal scientist at the Health Innovation and Evaluation Hub, Dr. Antoine Boivin is the recipient of the 2020 Donald I. Rice award presented by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and the Foundation for the Advancement of Family Medicine.

Awarded every 2 years, this prize is named in memory of Dr. Donald I. Rice, Executive Director of the CFPC from 1965 to 1985. It honours a family physician, a member of the CFPC, who made an outstanding contribution to teaching and who demonstrated vision and leadership in the discipline of family medicine.

Dr. Boivin holds the Canada Research Chair in Patient and Public Partnership. Along with Vincent Dumez, he co-founded the Centre of Excellence on Partnership with Patients and the Public, one of the largest organizations in Canada co-led by patients and professionals to support the science and practice of engaging with patients and citizens.
