Job description
We are looking for motivated people to take up a postdoctoral trainee position or undertake higher studies (master's or doctorate) in our laboratory located at the Research Center of the University of Montreal Hospital Center (CRCHUM).
Our research aims to understand the mechanisms of cell division in mammalian oocytes and embryos. To do this, we use real-time microscopy approaches, genetic tools and micromanipulation techniques to study chromosome segregation during early embryonic development. Our objective is to better understand the cellular bases of fertility.
These positions are particularly suitable for people interested in cell division, reproductive biology, or early development in mammals.
Experience in one or more of the following fields is an asset: cellular and molecular biology; real-time microscopy (live-cell imaging); manipulation of oocytes or embryos as well as micromanipulation or microinjection.
Some recent publications from the laboratory: • Vasilev, Filip et al. Developmental Cell (Online since January 24, 2025) • Mihajlović Aleksandar et al. EMBO Reports (Nov. 6, 2023; 24(11): e57227) • Paim LMG, FitzHarris G. PNAS (March 22, 2022; 119(12): e2119381119)
