Job description

The Center of Excellence on Partnership with Patients and the Public (CEPPP) is looking for a project manager to coordinate the activities of a project on partnership with caregivers within the framework of the mandate granted to the CEPPP in the Government Action Plan for Caregivers (PAG PPA), and will also support various projects linked to key CEPPP collaborations.

Context

The Center of Excellence on Partnership with Patients and the Public (CEPPP)'s mission is to make partnership with patients, relatives and the public a science, a practice, a culture and a new standard to improve the health of everyone and the (health) experience of each. It brings together local, national and international expertise from the health, education, research and community development sectors to create large-scale collaborations between patients, citizens, health professionals, managers, researchers and decision-makers. As part of its mandates, the CEPPP supports research networks/centers, health establishments, ministries and organizations from various sectors in the implementation and deployment of the partnership model with patients and the public (Karazivan and al., 2015; Pomey et al., 2015). It develops new practices focused on dialogue and the sharing of knowledge and experiential knowledge to co-create common solutions and transform health systems.


Responsibilities

As Project Manager this person will be responsible for:

  • Develop the knowledge and skills of PPAs and stakeholders of the authorities governance to work together using an approach based on partnership.
  • As part of this measure, coordinate, prepare and deliver content as part of supporting 
  • Produce, in co-construction with PPAs and for them, awareness capsules and training tools concerning the partnership approach in the context of care and services.
  • As part of this measure, coordinate, prepare and co-facilitate co-construction activities with partner caregivers and work with a production team to disseminate the capsules.
  • Develop a call for projects for public RSSS establishments aimed at the implementation and evaluation of innovative partnership strategies with PPAs.
  • As part of this measure, develop content and reports based on the analysis resulting from the evaluation results of the partnership with caregivers in the funded projects with a view to continuous improvement of the partnership with caregivers caregivers within the RSSS;
  • Generally:
    • Plan and carry out training activities (e.g. training materials and tools, workshops, webinars, etc.) designed for PAG PPA partners;
    • Collaborate with partners responsible for other PAG PPA measures in order to ensure cohesion of actions in terms of partnership;
    • Contribute to the organization of a hybrid provincial knowledge transfer event to promote projects carried out in partnership with caregivers;
    • Carry out planning and monitoring of budgets for measures within the framework of the project, including compensation for partner caregivers;
    • Support the activities of the CEPPP in promoting the partnership to external stakeholders on behalf of the CEPPP;
    • Embody in its actions the mission, vision, values ​​and objectives of the CEPPP.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a relevant discipline** (e.g.: in health, social sciences, public health, psychology, management, community development, research in health and social services, etc.);
  • Experience in analyzing qualitative, quantitative and mixed data (e.g. questionnaire data, focus group and interviews, monitoring data)
  • Relevant experience in project coordination, ideally in health environments;
  • Demonstrated interest in patient engagement;
  • Interest in close assistance;
  • Experience in mobilizing the life course approach – an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (ability to develop and maintain partnerships, to manage respectful relationships with different types of people, including people who are vulnerable due to their state of health or social condition);
  • Good organizational skills (ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, coordinate several tasks simultaneously, demonstrate rigor and attention and be autonomous in certain tasks);
  • Analytical skills and critical thinking;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholder groups and to be a motivator;
  • Good ability to adapt to diverse contexts and areas of interest and to adapt to rapid changes in priorities;
  • Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team;
  • Capacity for critical analysis and synthesis of information (popularization);
  • Ease of working with suite software
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written) – mandatory, and English (strong asset);
  • Knowledge of software and applications: Zotero, Miro, Vimeo, - an asset;
  • Prior training on patient partnership - an asset
