Do you want to reach the clouds this fall? Join us on September 21st for a conference by Farah Alibay, the Quebec aerospace engineer from NASA who took part in the landing of the Perseverance rover on Mars in 2021. Our special guest for the CRCHUM’s 13th Scientific Day will brilliantly embody the main theme of this year’s event: “Achieving the Impossible.”

Farah Alibay was born in Montreal and grew up in Joliette before moving to England to attend high school in Manchester. She then moved to Cambridge University to study aerospace engineering.

After obtaining her master’s degree, she joined the NASA Academy at the Goddard Space Flight Center, where she discovered a passion for planetary exploration robots.

She now works as a systems engineer at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and has been involved with the InSight, Perseverance, and Ingenuity missions for the past eight years.

Outside her professional activities, Farah Alibay encourages women and minorities to study in the field of science.
