and exchanges between nations.

Job description

Supervised by physician researchers and a research program director, the incumbent of this position will be entrusted with the execution of various tasks related to the implementation of a telehealth implementation, evaluation and research protocol. This telehealth project co-constructed between the CHUM, the CRCHUM and Indigenous and Inuit communities aims to improve the accessibility and quality of addiction medicine services/interventions for people with substance use disorders.

This position is open to anyone with relevant experience working with Indigenous communities or organiza-tions and/or relevant experience in project coordination/management.


Responsibilities

This person will be responsible for:

  • Review and understanding of protocols
  • Work closely with clinical, research teams and Indigenous collaborators
  • Establish and maintain effective and ongoing communications with individuals and groups directly or indirectly involved in projects
  • Facilitate the creation of meaningful relationships between communities and the CHUM's addiction medicine service, as well as partner organizations
  • Work in a team and supervise 2 research assistants
  • Identify challenges that may arise from a lack of understanding of clinical protocols and certain re-search activities;
  • Propose winning and feasible solutions
  • Conduct methodical and systematic monitoring of the data collection process, data management and analysis plan;
  • Regularly update project management on project progress
  • Prepare activity and expense reports
  • Travel in the Quebec area

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in projects and/or interventions related to the health of indigenous populations and knowledge of the concepts of cultural safety and cultural humility;
  • Knowledge of the clinical environment (hospital, telemedicine, addiction medicine) and clinical re-search;
  • Knowledge of the scientific disciplines involved in implementation studies;
  • Knowledge of the organizational structure and delivery mechanisms of health services among First Nations in Quebec
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Ability to prioritize assigned tasks, find effective solutions to identified problems, multi-task and effec-tively manage short- and medium-term deadlines
  • Excellent ability to work independently and as part of a team;

  • Part-time or full-time position: 21 to 35 hours – one year renewable for 3 years. Any extension is subject to the evaluation of the nominee and the availability of funds
