Preclinical and translational research:

1. Porcine model of systemic inflammation and acute lung injury induced with LPS infusion: reconditioning of marginal donor lungs with ex-vivo lung perfusion (EVLP).
2. Transplantation of porcine DCD lungs (donation after cardiocirculatory death + 2h of warm ischemia) after therapeutic reconditioning during EVLP.
3. Optimization of the ex-vivo lung perfusion platform for prolonged therapeutic reconditioning and pharmacologic intervention (12H EVLP).
4. Evaluation of lung function with EVLP in a porcine DCD model for cardiac procurement followed by normothermic regional perfusion (EVLP Post-NRP).

Clinical and applied research:
